Excursions by foot, bus and boat

Seeing cultural landmarks, natural local sights and visiting interesting locations is certainly one of the favorite and most relaxing activities whilst on holiday. Naturist camp Baldarin is an ideal starting point for various excursions and new adventures.
Excursions on Foot

From village Punta Križa, you can go to Lusare, Peski or Murtovnik. These were the first inhabited locations that have gradually become extinct and created the town of Punta Križa.

Desirable destinations also include Jami na sredi, a cave dating back to 700 B.C. If you start from Punta Križa and walk 5 km in the direction of Osor, you will reach Garmožaj – take a left and you will reach Jami na sredi after a 30-minute walk on a cleared path.

Matalda, a cottage on the very top of the hill, makes an ideal vantage point providing a view of the islands of Rab, Pag and Krk, and Velebit, our largest mountain.

On the other side of the peninsula is the Vela straža belvedere, ideal for seeing all the beautiful sights of this  location.

Lošinj and its neighbouring islands make up the unique Adriatic archipelago. During a pleasant boat ride, you will discover the lively coast of the Lošinj’s bay and the distant islets of the archipelago, and visit the most miraculous island of all – the island of Susak.

Susak is a unique island in the Adriatic Sea by its origin and appearance. The ancient winds have deposited thick layers of fine yellowish sand onto the limestone plate and since time immemorial people have planted giant reed around their farms whose roots, in search of water, penetrate deep into the soil and preserve it from erosion.

Susak is an island of sand, sandy beaches and unique tradition! Learn more about this unique island from a tour guide who will accompany you on this excursion.

A pleasant 40-minute boat ride will take you to the island of Ilovik. The islands of Ilovik and Sveti Petar (St. Peter) are located south of the island of Lošinj, separated by Ilovačka vrata (the Strait of Ilovik). The island of Ilovik, which hosts the only homonymous settlement, covers an area of 5.8 km2, with a circumference of 15.4 km. The largest cove with a sandy beach ‘Paržine’ is located on the southeast side of the island. There is a 2.5 km long and 300 m wide channel stretching between the two islands. Its waters are naturally protected from winds and can provide a safe haven for yachts and smaller boats. The whole island is covered with lush Mediterranean vegetation, and here you will come across a variety of flowers, colourful oleanders, palm trees and two century-old eucalyptus trees which is the reason why Ilovik is often called ‘The Island of Flowers’.

Take a tour of the ancient town of Osor that enabled sailing from one sea into the other thanks to an artificially made channel. Transit traffic between the Dalmatian coast and North Adriatic used to take place here. The foundations of the town walls reveal its ancient history and make this relic town mythical. The entire town is an outdoor museum where artists have left their tracks, from the early-Christian basilica to Meštrović.

After Osor, set off for Valun where the Valun Tablet dating back to the 11th century was found, and then to Cres, its town square, town gate, Mandrač and the parish church.

On the island of Lošinj, visit Mali Mali Lošinj and Veli Lošinj. Visit the Kula (Tower) and the gallery in Veli Lošinj and learn about the bottle-nosed dolphins that live in our archipelago. In Mali Lošinj, don’t miss the aroma garden with a number of indigenous plants. Stroll across the beautiful quay in Mali Lošinj and experience all the benefits of small picturesque towns on the Adriatic coast.
